Late 1970s Ascher “Artist Squares” silk scarf screen printed with an original Graham Sutherland design. Ascher scarves were developed in the 1940s by Zika and Lida Ascher—the couple was able to commission original designs by some of the most famous artists of the time. Their family continued the business over several generations and reissued their rare designs in the late 70s and 80s and then later in the mid 2000s. This piece features hand-rolled edges, beautiful satin finish silk.

Most of these are museum-held from any era of the company—a rare find.
