Rare archival Sandra Backlund pleated silk chiffon biomorphic top from her first produced collection, AW 2010/2011. Pulls over the head and hooks closed at the waist. The material is ethereal and semi-sheer. This would be stunning for a wedding, worn over a bias cut silk slip dress or with an equally high volume tulle skirt, palazzo pant, etc. A very delicate silk camisole or silk bra would be the perfect underpinning. This is one of a few that were ever produced and even more exceedingly rare to find on the secondary market—Backlund stopped producing collections by 2012. Original retail was $2,200.
