We’re pleased to present our latest collection of hand-painted archival vintage pieces as part of our ongoing series. In collaboration with Philadelphia-based artist Shannon Retseck, who developed this modern, painterly take on historical tile motifs, we’ve reimagined some of our most treasured vintage items, giving them new life to truly spectacular effect.

This 1960s fine cream silk tunic dress with wide collar has been hand-painted by Retseck with her signature dye-paint, which creates a smooth finish to the hand of the textile. Every detail has been considered and elevates an already beautiful, finely crafted garment to the level of fine art and a modern heirloom.

The dress features wide curvy collar, hidden snap cuffs, straight and loose silhouette, full acetate lining. Perfect on it’s own or layered over a printed pant (or our painted pants!)
