RAREST 1960s Mr. Fish Copper Silk Bishop Sleeve Shirt
RAREST 1960s Mr. Fish Copper Silk Bishop Sleeve Shirt
ULTRA rare late 1960s Mr. Fish copper silk dupioni bishop sleeve menswear shirt from the iconic London menswear shop. Mr. Fish was THE innovator in 60s mens fashion and his work was worn by David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Michael Caine (in the Italian Job!), and the highest echelons of British aristocracy in the 1960s and 70s. He also “invented” the iconic Man Dress, worn by David Bowie on the cover of his “The man who sold the world” record. His work is collected by the V&A, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, etc. And it is incredibly rare for these pieces to come up for sale.
Michael Fish began as a shirt tailor and you can really tell in the unbelievable construction and quality of this top. This is a true rarity for the collector.
